This was very fun to do, quite relaxing. A lot of the areas are rather small, so I needed some magnifying glasses (like those non-prescription drugstore glasses) to be able to see them clearly. Several spots did not have numbers either on the canvas or the guide, so I just had to make a best guess on what those colors should be. Some of the areas of lighter colors showed the numbers through the paint even after a couple of coats. Luckily, I wanted a textured look, so I just kept painting over those areas until the numbers were hidden. There was enough paint to do the whole thing, even have quite a bit left over. (Except number 1, that was the lightest color and I used almost all of it up hiding the numbers on the canvas.)
Cons: The canvas did not come rolled, it was folded. I had to use a garment steamer to get rid of the creases. The three brushes were not very good. The biggest brush was nice enough. The smallest one had a few errant hairs that kept wanting to color outside the lines. The middle size was absolute rubbish, completely frayed, so I didn’t bother using that one at all. And I picked up a couple extra brushes from a local store. Next time I’ll spring for a really nice brush set. The guide was printed oddly, cutting off some of the edges, so it wasn’t very helpful when trying to distinguish the barely visible numbers on the canvas as that area may not be visible on the guide at all.
All in all, I enjoyed painting this, and will probably purchase more.

This was my first Paint By Numbers, and I was a bit nervous because some of the reviews online, on the various paintings were a mix of good and bad comments. So I was nervous about what would arrive in the mail. It came very nicely packaged… with paint, 3 brushes, a colored picture of what the finished product will look like, and then a large picture of basically a copy of the canvas numbers (this is really helpful if you want to go back and do a second coat on a section but cannot remember what number/ paint color that was). I am satisfied with my purchase. And just ordered another painting from the same seller. I am almost done with my painting. I love it! The numbers are easy to read… the brushes it comes with are perfect for all the various sizes of sections that need to be covered in paint. I must say working on this is very relaxing, and that is what I was hoping for when I bought it.

Very cool idea and works quite well. We had large vinyl signs of the kids’ images and could cut relatively to size so that was extra bonus for measurements. The only thing that prevents a 5 star rating is that the metal staple “stays” are welded together and to separate them requires an act of Congress (or a vice, plyers, screwdriver, etc) which is silly for something that is provided for easy no-tool use. Also, if you poster is “coated” or vinyl the adhesive on the back will not stick for long so help it out with some electricians tape or home-style stapler. Works great.

Everything came in in good shape. Canvas was folded, so I had to use iron to get rid of fold lines, but it was easy enough. Paints were fresh, the quality of paintbrushes were ok. The only suggestion is to include bigger picture of the painting, and in true colors. The picture that was included with my set was about 4â€x3†and not of true colors.

A number of the paints were translucent and very difficult to cover the canvas numbers, even though I had treated the canvas with a semi opaque white gesso. The majority of the canvas is very very small areas. Even though it was very labor intensive, I think it turned out beautiful.

I got this for my 14 year old niece to do and give back to me. I have problems with my hands so I could not do it myself. She enjoyed doing it. The numbers were easy to read and the instructions easy to follow. The paints worked well and are nice colors. I like that this set sends multiple brushes too. Great experience! Did a custom paint by numbers of our cat. Took probably a month to complete since you can only really do 1 color at a time so they have time to dry and not blend. I had to reach out to customer support once and got a reply back really quickly. Great quality paint and canvas. Had enough paint for everything. One color almost ran out, but all the other colors had plenty to spare.
